Dr. Jonas Ridderstrale

Dr Jonas Ridderstråle is at the forefront of the new generation of European-based business gurus. He and his partner Dr Kjell Nordstrøm are ranked in the Thinkers 50.

With his extensive experience Dr. Ridderstråle is widely admired for his integrity and insight, he is considered one of the most prominent business professionals. He assists corporations to prosper in the global marketplace.

Assistant Professor at the Centre for Advanced Studies in Leadership (CASL) at the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE), Jonas holds a doctorate and MBA from the same institution. His research focuses on new organisational models and leadership styles in the information age and has been published in leading academic journals, magazines and newspapers.

During 1995 and 1996 he was responsible for the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at the Stockholm School of Economics, a program in which he has been actively involved during a period of three years. His teaching engagements also include courses in Strategic Management and International Business.

Furthermore, Dr. Ridderstråle serves as an advisor, lecturer and consultant to a number of international companies and is on the board of several corporations. His efforts have primarily been focused on outlining the characteristics of the future firm and on aiding top management in formulating strategies and organisational solutions.

His book ‘Funky Business - Talent Makes Capital Dance’ (co-authored with Kjell Nordstrøm) is a manifesto of what our time requires from business firms and their leaders. The book is an international best-seller and, so far, has been translated into more than 25 languages. Both Amazon.co.uk and Management General rated ‘Funky Business’ as one of the five best business books of 2000.
